Found this place in downtown Austin. Great food and friendly staff. They also have an all you can eat option.

Note: this is a review for a la carte, not AYCE. Funny enough, a lot of sushi spots in the downtown area are closed around 3pm, so we went to the one spot that was open. I gotta say, from the outside, this street has a little bit of a run-down feel. We didn't have the highest of expectations coming in. But Sushi Junai did meet those expectations. Their flavors are on-point. We ordered the Cucumber Passion, Ex-Girlfriend, and Casanova sushi rolls as well as the Monkey Brain appetizer. Everything tasted great but I would say the Cucumber Passion was the best of the bunch. My suggestion: consider this as a strong "budget" option if you're craving sushi rolls. A specialty roll costs roughly $13-14, which sadly is quite a bargain in today's economy. Their sauces are tasty but you will notice that the fish cuts maaaay just be a bit thinner than some other spots. You get what you pay for! I will say that their menu is somewhat dizzying - there are just too many roll options. I think the owners could benefit from consolidating some choices and improving their menu with photos.

One of my favorite places for sushi, the all you can eat option is great for its value. The service is quick, but the food doesn't lack quality for it. Wide variety of options and every time we've tried something new it has been great. The restaurant is small, but doesn't feel cramped. Overall great option!

Amazing ayce sushi spot near UT campus!! Service is great, and the resraurant and casual and clean! We ordered multiple rounds of food. Really loved the nigiri! The fish was fresh, and each piece was pretty big! The rolls were also fantastic and filling! For dessert, we got strawberry and green tea mochi with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle! They were super nice to cute them into fourths since we had a large group and wanted to share!

Overall, I would say my friend and I had a good experience at Sushi Junai. The all you can eat sushi dinner special was a fair price and we definitely got our moneys worth. I forgot to take picture of a bunch of the stuff we ordered but I would recommend getting the monkey brain as an appetizer and would advise you stay away from the roll I took a picture of that is wrapped in seaweed. I believe it was raw octopus that had wasabi on it. I couldn't do the texture and I'm not a picky eater lol. I would also say to maybe skip the ice brownie. It was just a cold Costco brownie with a scoop of ice cream so nothing special. The service was good though and it was a cute and quiet location.

Went here for date night, they have all you can eat sushi. Everything was very yummy. One of my favs was "monkey brains" aka stuffed mushrooms that are filled with crab and other goodies and deep fried. Fish was fresh and flavorful, there is some street parking outside and a parking lot across the street.

Food: 4.5 / 5 Service: 4.5 / 5 Cleanliness: 4 / 5 Parking: 2 / 5 Price: 4.5 / 5 Not the best sushi I've had but man, I sure can eat a lot and this is the best All You Can Eat spot (sushi) in Austin! If you know of something better and affordable, please do let me know on Instagram/TikTok or here on Yelp! All the rolls here are solid. Doesn't blow your mind but it's very filling. Highly recommend this EASILY! - TikTok/YouTube: @gillynova

Great atmosphere and convenient to the campus and downtown hotels. The prices are incredibly reasonable. I tried the red devil and was surprised by the quality of the tuna and taste. The staff is very friendly and I will definitely come back on the next trip
